Admissions
We are a speciality dance institution dance institution with over 45 years of experience inspiring, cultivating and supporting dancers .
- Students are assigned classes as per their dancing ability. Each Level has a particular syllabus to follow for both practical and theory.
- Students must have a minimum of 85% attendance per quarter. Attendance for project based classes on Saturday is compulsory.

Patashala, a project based learning program has been created, which enables the student to delve deeper into understanding our style and its philosophy.


Beginners
Classes are geared toward young learners who are starting their journey in learning.
Focus of training is on muscle memory, enhanced cognitive function, injury reduction at a young age, improvements to balance and posture, and an increase in flexibility and coordination.


Intermediate Learners
Our intermediate learners master techniques, learn in greater detail about our artistic style, and work on their physical efficiency. Teaching also focuses on helping our young learners develop social, emotional and cognitive skills they need to thrive, especially through the teen years, using the art of dance.


Advanced Learners
The Advanced Training programme is conceived to prepare young dancers for full-time dance training, at a high proficiency level. The training aims to-
- Help students achieve an advanced level of technique in our style and foster extensive knowledge
- Help students advance their understanding of dance as an art form while nurturing their artistic sensibility and developing performance skills
- Prepare students to work as part of our dance company on the concert stage
- Develop students’ professional attitudes and the discipline necessary to succeed
- Nurture each student’s full potential as a performer and an individual
- Prepare them in all areas of stage management like sound, lighting, decor
Teachers Training
The teacher training programme at CAPA is formatted on evidence based research and conceptualised in different modules, which are delivered through taught sessions including practical sessions, lectures and seminars as well as group and individual tutorials. Basics of nattuvangam , philosophy of movement , body dynamics will be taught to the trainees. Trainees will be mentored in planning, teaching and self-reflection.
The trainee teachers are taught pedagogy, theory, and practicum to become “highly qualified” teachers .The training is formatted in 2 levels – basic and advanced .
